The Do's and Don’ts you Should Follow for Making the Most out of Google
Search engine optimization is important for every online business. The right kind of search engine optimization practices will help you rank well on all the major search engines, especially Google. On the other hand, the wrong kind of practices can spell doom for your website. Here is a list of do's and don’ts that you should follow if you want to make the most of Google and SEO.

Do's:

  1. Always practice safe search engine optimization practices. Avoid cheap SEO providers because they are most likely to engage in black hat SEO practices. Techniques like content masking, doorway pages and link spamming can get your website banned from Google.

  2. Carefully plan a good strategy. See which keywords you want to rank for and have your website content contain these.

  3. Blogging is a good way of striking a conversation between a human reader and Google. Make sure your blog is regularly updated.

  4. Use free tools like Google Analytics to track down your online success.

Don’ts:

  1. Fall for false promises. Remember that it takes time for quality work to show the desired results. If your provider is promising quick results, chances are it won't work for long.

  2. Stuff your content with keywords. Although it is important to feature keywords in your copy, do not overdo it.

  3. Try artificially inflating inbound links to your site. This needs a slow and considered approach.

  4. Trust companies that assure you number 1 positions on Google. Nobody can guarantee the exact position for a particular keyword.
